  • “Work Hard & Be Kind”

"The art of card palming can be brought to a degree of perfection that borders on the wonderful" - Expert at the Card Table by S.W Erdnase.
We all wish to bring our endeavors to that degree, but are often misguided by a plethora of self-help formulas. HERE ARE MY GOALS, HERE'S WHAT I MUST DO, NO ONE CAN STOP ME. There's nothing wrong with achievement, but it rears its ugly head when we become annoying, over confident, arrogant jerks. Bringing others down around us as we saddle up our high horse. Sadly, kindness and humility have been lost to ambition and success.

I firmly believe in finding something we love, something stimulating, giving it the time and effort it deserves! That, in conjunction with a desire to be kind - I think - is the basic formula for a life well lived. We should strive for a well rounded community, bringing our work and life to a degree of perfection that borders on the wonderful.

Superstitious thinking trap

As a young Baseball pitcher, I found life on the diamond a breeding ground for superstition – lucky numbers, pregame rituals, Baseball gods, etc. But superstition exceeds far beyond the outfield fence, ranging from gambling halls to alternative medicine. So I ask the question – can we bend this world to our gain, or is … Read more

Covert Confusion in Self Defence

How did I stop a crazy homeless man from attacking me? Or bring a grown man from dangerous aggressor, to wimpy boy in a matter of seconds. I was reluctant to post this technique for the safety of those who choose to read my nonsense. However, having twice confirmed the method, I’m confident in sharing … Read more

Marcel

Proust

I’ve been absorbing Marcel Proust at a slow pace over 2010, stumbling upon interesting notions for a life well lived. What I can gather from Proust, are methods geared towards an optimal & gratifying life. However I’m certainly guilty of forgetting these simple ideas, which is why I’ve decided by recommendation of a room mate, … Read more
